i was really looking forward to the rose of versailles movie. i went in without big expectations because of the two hour runtime. i wouldn't recommend it to anyone that hasn't seen the series and i don't think i'd recommend it to most people that saw the series either tbh. the visuals were beautiful. i liked the musical scenes, especially at the beginning of the movie. marie antoinette's song was super cute. i sort of wish the committed more to it being a musical. i had fun watching it but obviously it was missing a lot and the direction choices were confusing.
